Radiator leaks air to the reverser tank is that normal?

so my car was kind of overheating and i changed the radiator and a hose its a 98 honda civic lx and well.. what i noticed that when its hot the temperature is normal but the hose that goes from the radiator cap to the reverser tank throws air is that normal? or bad tanx alot for your help im really worried

Normal.

When the radiator expands with heat, it is supposed to go into the reserve expansion tank.

When it cools, it gets sucked back down.

But when you drain the system, you will get some air burped out first, before fluid.

After all the air is out, you probably won't get any more.

If you do, then you could have a head gasket leak, but you would lose fluid and over heat first.
