Will the heater auxiliary valve pump cause the car to run hot?

The only thing I can add to this is I already changed my water pump,thermostat, flushed the radiator(at a machine shop), changed the fan clutch, and checked the heater core. The oil is not creamy or milky. When you run the car, the upper and lower radiator hose is really tight, one of the hoses that run to the heater auxiliary valve pump is swollen, so that's all I could think of.

You need to go to your Mechanic and have a %26quot;Block Test%26quot;. It checks for Exhaust in your cooling system. To answer your specific question.

The Aux coolant pump usually is used for the heating system. It just

boosts the flow to the heater core. No it would not cause your engine to run hot. I betting you may have a small head gasket leak or cracked head. HTH

swollen is bad but not likely what it is but still replace it also should be able to watch the flow of coolant in radiator and feel hoses while its hot or warm and you dont have to have oil in water or water in oil to have a bad head gasket and you can get a radiator pressure test or a compression tester most any parts store many rent them
