My brother has a 96 cavelier and it is over heating. we changed the thermostate and it's not helping. He drove it and the hose from the radiator to the engin busrt! We notice that when we filled the overflow with fluid that when we run the car the fluif doesn't flow, it just stays there. Any ideas? We are thinking either water pump, head gasket or heater core. Any Ideas?

could be more than one thing if your not losing any coolant may not need to take from over flow tank i would check or replace the radiator cap and make sure hose to tank is clear.

dought it,s your waterpump change the easy bit,s first like a new radiator and hoses
if the hose had burst it might be a stuck thermostat, that'd be the cheapest, easiest place to start
