top radiator hose busted and car died. i have replaced the hose, thermostat, spark plugs and wires but it continues to overheat so the next thing to do, i guess, is to change the water pump out but I can't see it. Any other suggestions?
Anyone know where to find the water pump on a 1997 ford Contour? I am having problems with it overheating!!?
Depends on the motor. But my bet is you're looking on the wrong side of the motor. Look at the trans side of the motor and you'll see a belt driven by the cam with a small tensioner and then, your water pump.
Oh also, common problem with these is actually the tensioner seizing and not holding tension on the belt, not usually the water pump. Check to see if that belt is tight.

same prb with one of my fathers cars .he got contour as well ..water pump u can buy it from napa auto parts or any other popular auto part store is like 70 $$ .its on the right bottom side
